I Am Courageous (Joshua 1:9)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
– Joshua 1:9
God Says You Are Courageous
God has given you the command to be strong and courageous, not because of your own abilities, but because He is always with you. This verse reminds us that fear and discouragement have no place in your heart when you trust in the Lord’s presence and power. He equips you with strength to face challenges, knowing that His guidance and protection are constant.
Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s choosing to act in faith even when you feel uncertain. The Bible declares, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me” (Psalm 28:7). When you rely on God’s promises, you can overcome obstacles, stand firm in the face of trials, and take bold steps toward the purpose He has for your life.
God’s presence with you is the foundation of your courage. No matter where you go or what you face, His love and power go before you, making the way clear and giving you peace.
How to Live Courageously
- Trust in God’s Presence
Remind yourself daily that God is with you and will never leave your side. - Take Small Steps of Faith
Act on your beliefs about God, even in small ways, trusting Him to strengthen you as you move forward. - Encourage Yourself with Scripture
Reflect on verses like Joshua 1:9 and Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” - Face Challenges with Faith
Approach difficult situations with trust in God’s promises, showing others what it looks like to rely on His strength.
