I Am Gifted (Romans 12:6-8)
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
– Romans 12:6-8 (NIV)
God Says You Are Gifted
God has given you unique gifts and talents, designed specifically for you to use for His glory. This verse reminds us that everyone has something valuable to offer, and no gift is too small or insignificant. Whether your gift is speaking, serving, teaching, leading, or encouraging, God wants you to use it with passion and purpose.
Your gifts are not just for you—they are meant to bless and build up others. The Bible says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10). When you use your talents, you reflect God’s creativity and love, making a lasting impact in the lives of those around you.
Being gifted doesn’t mean you have to be perfect; it means God has placed something special in you to grow and develop. When you trust Him and use what He’s given you, He will equip you, strengthen you, and open doors for you to serve in ways you never imagined.
How to Identify and Use Your Gifts
- Pray for Wisdom
Ask God to reveal your gifts and show you how to use them for His purpose. Seek His guidance as you discover how He has uniquely created you. - Write Down Your Strengths, Passions, and Skills
Take time to reflect on what you enjoy doing, where you naturally excel, and what others have affirmed in you. Identifying these areas can help you recognize the gifts God has placed in your life. - Take Action with Faith
Start using your gifts, even in small ways, trusting that God will guide and develop them as you grow in Him. - Serve with Joy and Excellence
Whatever your gift may be, use it with passion and commitment, knowing that every act of service brings glory to God.
